James 5:14 NKJV tells us, 'Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.'

The anointing oil has no power in itself, but it is a mighty symbol of the power resident in the Holy Spirit. The act of anointing with oil reminds us of the healing power of God that is available to us through His Holy Spirit when we reach out to Him in faith, believing for answers to prayer.
